How do you manage the fixed asset record in your work?

In my previous role, I started by reviewing the invoice, CAPEX approval, asset register, and physical count result. I then worked with the responsible team to verify capitalization date, asset class, useful life, location, and custodian. I documented the result, tracked any remaining risk, and followed up until the fixed asset record met the agreed requirement.
