How do you manage the inventory count variance in your work?

In my previous role, I started by reviewing the count sheet, transaction history, recount, and approval. I then worked with the responsible team to investigate location, transaction timing, unit of measure, and counting error. I documented the result, tracked any remaining risk, and followed up until the inventory count variance met the agreed requirement.
