In my previous role, I started by reviewing approved software release, checksum record, and programming log. I then worked with the responsible team to verify firmware version, checksum, model mapping, and first-piece confirmation. I documented the result, tracked any remaining risk, and followed up until the programming revision met the agreed requirement.
